Amara Sperber received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Oregon. Highlights of Amara’s undergraduate years include studying with Carol Sindell and Fritz Gearhart, respectively, serving as concert master for the University of Oregon Symphony, participating in the masterclasses of the Takacs String Quartet, and being the youngest member of Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra from 2009-2012. Amara also served as head counselor and assistant chamber music coach of the Chamber Music Camp of Portland from 2011-2014. Currently, Amara teaches private lessons in violin and viola.

Amara would like to express that the opportunity to pursue her studies in Vienna, with Fritz Gearhart in the fall of 2015, is a dream come true.

Proceeds will help Ms. Sperber's travel expesnses to Europe to continue her violin studies.
